These pieces feature a coloured slip decoration and are currently ready for their bisque firing.

 

Once fired, I will apply a transparent glaze.

For the roses,

 

 I used a yellow slip on the tips of the petals and a pink slip at the base, watering them down to blend the colours smoothly. For the blue flowers, I applied a watered-down blue slip, then layered a thicker coat onto the poppies to create a deeper, richer colour."
